The Symbiotic Civil War

The Symbiotic Royal Coat of Arms, Imperial Symbiote Army, United Socialist Savak Alliance, and Free Republic of Symbiotes all went to war against each other where one political party remains standing. Even though the civil war lasted a few centuries long, it still raged across the universe, causing the death of over a trillion lives and more than half were either foreign or symbiote citizens. During the civil war, the Imperials and the Symbiotes’ Savak Republic would battle each other while the Royal Army and the Republic engaged in combat. Being the weakest, the Free Army lost several battles but their use of guerrilla warfare against their enemies proved effective in major battle. However, most of the fighting was not in the homeworld. The Royal Army had an advantage in naval warfare when fighting the Imperialists. But, the Royal Army lacked numbers strong enough to defeat the Imperial Army because most of the population favored a powerful empire. The fighting was with the Imperial Army against the Royal Army and the Symbiotes’ Republic against the Free Symbiote Army. In the halfway of the civil war, the Imperial Army and the Savak Federation battled while the Royal Symbiote Coat of Arms and the Republic fought, but all four factions battled each other for control. The only rare exception was between the Symbiotes’ Republic and the Royal Symbiote Coat of Arms because they both realized that the Imperials were much too strong to fight with one army. Both factions went to such lengths as to form a temporary alliance to defeat the Imperial Army. Although the Imperial Army easily crushed through the guerrilla militants of the Republic, the Free Army managed to still hold their ground by damaging supply lines, eliminating imperial bases, and steal as much weapons and resources needed when they never obtained chemicals or nuclear power. The Imperial Army started the decline as three factions attacked them all at once literally. The homeworld and its capital Symbiote was once occupied by the Royal Army but came under Imperialist control. The Free Republic only occupied a small fraction of the territory until taken back from the Imperials. However, the Symbiotes’ Republic pushed the Imperialists out of the capital and renamed the capital Savak, under the Federation. During the final years of civil war, the capital became a crucial land to conquer as soon as the Imperials decided to come back and take the homeworld as when most of the fighting wasn't on the homeworld. One final attempt for victory in the last year of civil war occurred in the capital after the Republic surrendered and their leader Toxin fled and were deemed as rebels to the symbiote race. The Symbiotes’ Republic and the Imperial Army fought fiercely, which made the Royal Army open for victory. In a close corners victory, the Symbiotes’ Savak Republic had to pull out from the war because they had fewer soldiers than before. But, before that occurred, the Free Republic made a last attempt to return to fighting and were successful in capturing the capital from the Federation, but afterwards, they took it back and killed the remaining rebels. However, the Federation’s fatal battle proved successful to weaken the Imperial Army significantly and allow the Royal Army to fight back and claim victory in the Symbiotic Civil War.

Post-Civil War Era

The symbiote government came under rule of the Symbiotic Coat of Arms. Even though the Savak Federation pulled back from the last days of war and didn't win, they still were allies with the Royal Army but only ceased diplomatic relations after the war trials against the leaders of the Imperial Army. In the Symbiotic Civil War Trials, the generals, admirals, commanders, imperial oligarchs, and their supreme dictator Poison were all sentenced to death. The leading monarch of the Royal Army and commander-in-chief as well as close relative to Symbiot, Razah, was declared king of the new Symbiotic government. King Razah proclaimed a constitutional monarchy with three branches when he signed the Constitution of Symbiotes. However, Razah held most of the power of the government in the executive branch and never appointed a prime minister until that position was introduced towards of the end of the Venom regime. The legislation became the Symbiotic Council were either members or citizens can participate as representatives. The judicial system was the weakest but most brutal as it composed of executioners, judges, and jurors who punished foreign enemies and sentenced them to death through persecution. The symbiotic society changed dramatically when King Razah and several symbiote scholars introduced a new religion called Symbiotism.

Symbiotism

Symbiotism is the only and current religion practiced by the symbiote race and was developed during the civil war. Symbiotism focuses on the belief of Symbiot the Great as a free spirit watching over the universe and blessing the symbiotes. This caused symbiotes to believe he was still watching over them and determining their afterlife. The symbiotes suppressed and murdered converts of other religions as foreign influence continued after they conquered more planets and galaxies. One of the most brutal acts of violence committed was the Holy Massacre, in which symbiotes attacked converts and those of magical and divine power. What’s bloody about the Holy Massacre was that symbiotes mostly used their claws to repeatedly stab their opponents or use their teeth to bite into them. Symbiotes, although not as powerful as divine beings, were able to kill many god-like cosmic figures and savagely beat them to death. Symbiotism was also a strict religion to be practiced every time. A symbiote would take a bowing stance and lift his or her hand up as how Symbiot used to greet his people. Even the Free Republic of Symbiotes and the United Socialist Savak Alliance accepted the practice of Symbiotism.

Age of Venom

After the death of King Razah, his family bloodline continued on throughout centuries where kings were to pass their throne to their heir to be the next king or queen. A symbiote monarch family consists of a king, queen, and children as heirs to the throne. Often times, symbiotes produced many children, so the eldest son or daughter must take the title of first heir. And other times, monarchs would occasionally give the ruling power to their siblings. Centuries of the monarchy followed a continued period of war against other empires and planets. The most powerful symbiote monarch was King Venom, spawning six children as heirs. Venom instituted a prime minister to act as a second to command to the king. He also offered protection to peaceful planets in need and reintroduced the economic trade commodities that were suspended after the civil war. The children of Venom were Carnage, Scream, Lasher, Riot, Agony, & Phage. They would be the key catalysts for the new Era of Carnage.

The Venom Campaign

Under Venom’s regime, he desired to spread symbiote influence across more of the universe and his top commander of his campaign was his eldest son Carnage. Venom’s son was psychotic, violent, deadly, but manipulatively intelligence. He often spoke in front of his soldiers and convinced them to battle the enemy through brutality and merciless warfare. Venom, unlike his son, was more tolerant and would usually spare species of a planet they would conquer. Carnage had a deep hatred for anyone who opposed him and resorts to chaos as the answer. But, he does have a strong sense of love for his own kind and family. Even though Venom ruled as absolute king, Carnage was in charge of military and Venom appointed his son to be prime minister. Carnage sought to centralize power by leading all three branches at once. Carnage led the Symbiotic Council as executive director, commanded the army as top general, and controlled the executions and trials in the Symbiotic Court. Carnage eventually accused his father of treason against the new regime after he was assumed the title as the king. Carnage declared himself dictator for life and instituted the Era of Carnage which would be a period of five hundred years.
